You will see the tallest human powered puppet. Watch power boats and human powered ones. And be able to taste our local artisan food, and freshly caught fish. Over the past 11 years this festival has grown in stature, and is now recognised as West Wales’ premier food festival. The aim of the festival is to celebrate the River Teifi and the diversity of food grown or prepared in the area. There will be several activities & attractions for the whole family to enjoy.
100 FOOD PRODUCERS
A wide range of delicious local produce

As usual there will be river events, children’s activities, entertainment and cooking demonstrations throughout the day in addition to dozens of food producers and local businesses. Many of these are ‘True Taste’ award winners and they will all be offering lots of tempting things to eat and drink.

Also featured this year will be a Crafts marquee and a bottle bar to further enhance our visitors’ experience. Access to the site will be easy, as we are providing the usual free park and ride service to and from the Festival.

TEIFI ROC 900

August 7, 2010

TEIFI ROC

Teifi Roc 900 is a day-long music and entertainment extravanganze happening on Saturday 7th August on Cardigan Showground.  As part of the Cardigan 900th anniversary celebrations, volunteer organisers have got together with Cardigan 900 committee members, Save the Children and Cardigan councillors to put on a special show to say happy Birthday to the town!

It’s not every day that the likes of Goldie Lookin Chain, The Blockheads, The Beat and DJ Krafty Kuts make their way to this part of the country to play alongside local bands and DJs, so this should be a real one-off treat for all music lovers.

The day-festival will not only offer fantastic music on the 3 stages but also a great family day out with activities and workshops for all ages. All accompanied children 12 and under will have free entry to the event and to reinforce the family focus of the festival there is a great family ticket offer of 33% savings on ticket prices. The offer is only available in advanced through the website or ticket outlets.

The support from local children organisation and charities has been overwhelming and will ensure a professionally run kids area for the festival. The local Jig-So childrens’ centre will be providing a great area for children to play and take part in various hands-on activities. There will be face painting, felt workshop, fancy dress, juice bar, craft workshop, a Playbus, sumo wrestling, big slide, bouncy castles, rodeo and a DJ music workshop.

Children will demonstrate their creativity with materials and also with music. A grand kids parade will take place at 6pm. Therefore parents are encouraged to bring costumes and materials to the fancy dress marquee.

What’s more, with a craft and eco area, food, stalls and a bar… 12 hours might not be enough to enjoy everything!

The event’s main benefactor will be Save the Children.
